Red Chocolate Cookie Reciepe

So I decided to make some cookies for my lovely valentine!
Delicious cookies, chewy and sweet.
The color was much more vibrant in person then on camera for some reason.
The Ingredients Call for:
1/2 cup of butter. If you don't want to make it dairy like I did I used Crisco vegetable shortening sticks or just use margarine.
1/2 cup Light brown Sugar baby
1/4 cup White sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon of red food coloring
3/4 cup of flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder, I used Dutch cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups of white chocolate chips or any other sweet thing you want to add to the top!

Preheat that oven of yours to 350! And don't wait till the last second! It needs to be nice and hot for your cookies! Kind of like a warm welcoming for them;)
Mean while the oven is warming up for your cookies, take the sugars, white and brown, throw them together along with that butter and start to mix with your mixer, hand mixer or machine mixer whatever yall own!
Then mix for about 3 to 4 minutes until it has a smooth and creamy consistency.
Take that egg, crack it then add it tot he mixture and along with the egg add the vanilla extract and red food coloring. Now the thing with the food coloring is that you can add as little as you want or as much as you want. It all depends on the color you want it to be.
After you mixed all that, start prepping the dry, sift the all together so it all the same consistency and no little chunks!! Then add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture slowly, because we don't want all the flour and coco powder flying everywhere!!!
Then once thats combined, throw in the white chocolate chips and mix that in by hand!.What I did to make the balls were just rolling it out, it can be any size, small for small cookies, big ball for big cookies, pretty simple right? The one little trick I learnt was, to flatten out the ball a little bit, just because when I made the first batch it didn't flatten then I press on it a little bit or alot! then It flattened out even more in the oven. Leave in the oven for 8 to 10 minutes!!!! Make sure no longer! or else the bottom will be burnt!!!!!
And Wallah the cookies are done!. Let them sit for 4 to 5 minutes then transfer them to the cooling rack so they can completely cool off!
Here is another picture!
